Terms of Use
Effective date:
These terms apply to this website. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
This site is information, not advice
Everything here is general information about a federal benefits program and about home care. It is not legal advice and it is not medical advice. It is no substitute for speaking with your treating physician, with the U.S. Department of Labor, or with a qualified professional about your own situation.
Using this site creates no relationship with us
Reading these pages, downloading the guide, submitting a form, or asking for a call does not:
- make you our client or create a provider relationship
- establish that you are eligible for anything
- authorize any care or any payment
- start any service
- register anything with the U.S. Department of Labor
Eligibility and authorization under EEOICPA are decided by the U.S. Department of Labor, based on your accepted conditions and your treating physician’s documentation. We do not make those decisions and cannot influence them.
We are independent of the Department of Labor
The Good Care Helpers is an independent home care agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor or any government agency. The Department of Labor does not endorse or sponsor home care providers.
We do not act as any claimant’s authorized representative, and we do not assist with filing or appealing claims. For help with a claim, contact the Department of Labor Resource Center that serves Tennessee, at no charge.
Service availability
Nonmedical home care is available throughout Tennessee. Skilled nursing is available in select service areas. Availability depends on staffing, applicable program requirements, medical necessity, and authorization, and it changes. Nothing on this site is a promise that a particular service is available at your address. We confirm that with you directly.
Accuracy and changes
We try to keep this site accurate and current, and the program information here is drawn from official Department of Labor sources as of the date shown on each item. Program rules change, and official guidance is sometimes updated before secondary materials catch up. Always confirm current requirements with the Department of Labor. We may change or remove content at any time without notice.
Please do not send sensitive information
Do not submit Social Security numbers, Department of Labor claim numbers, medical records, images of benefits cards, or detailed clinical information through this website or by email. If you send such information anyway, you do so at your own risk. If you become a client, we will collect what is needed through a secure process instead.
Our content
The text, design, and materials on this site, including the guide, belong to The Good Care Helpers unless stated otherwise. You may read, download, and print the guide for personal use and may share it unchanged. You may not republish it as your own, sell it, or present it as coming from a government agency.
Quotations from and descriptions of U.S. Department of Labor publications are used for informational purposes. Government works are not claimed as ours.

Disclaimers and liability
This site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of every kind relating to the site and its content, and we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it or reliance on it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
