Website Privacy Notice

Last updated:
This is not our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. This page covers information you give us through this website before you become a client. If you receive care from us, a separate Notice of Privacy Practices describes how we handle your health information and your rights under HIPAA. Read our Notice of Privacy Practices, or ask us for a paper copy by calling 901-430-9186 or emailing workers@thegoodcarehelpers.com.
Who we are
The Good Care Helpers is an independent home care agency in Memphis, Tennessee. In this notice, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean The Good Care Helpers.
5865 Ridgeway Center Pkwy, STE 300, Memphis, TN 38120 · 901-430-9186
What this notice covers
It covers the information you choose to give us on this website — by requesting the guide, or by asking us to call you — and the limited technical information our hosting provider records when a page loads. It does not cover information you give us by telephone, in person, or during intake, which is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices and our agreements with you.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name — so we know who we are writing to.
- Your email address — to send the guide you asked for.
- Your Tennessee ZIP code — to tell you what services are available where you live.
- Your phone number, only if you give it — it is optional on the guide form. If you give it, you are asking us to call you.
- Your contact preferences — how and when you would like to be reached.
- Whether you are asking for yourself or someone else.
- Anything you type into the optional notes box. We ask you not to put diagnoses, claim numbers, or medical details there.
- Your permissions — which boxes you ticked, the wording shown at the time, and when.
What we do not ask for
We do not ask for your Social Security number, your Department of Labor claim number, your medical records, a photograph of your benefits card, or a description of your diagnoses. Please do not send those to us by web form, email, or text.
Technical information
Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a request, for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, session recording, or remarketing tags on this site. We do not build advertising audiences from your visit, and we do not upload information about you to advertising platforms.
Why we use it
- To send you the guide you requested
- To call you back, if you gave us a number and asked us to
- To tell you honestly whether we serve your address
- To send you educational emails, only if you separately asked for them
- To keep a record of the permissions you gave and when
- To keep the site secure and working
Something worth being plain about. Telling us you are an EEOICPA beneficiary looking into home care says something about your health, even though we never ask for a diagnosis. We treat what you tell us here as sensitive from the moment you send it, and we limit who can see it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate — for example, the systems that store our records and send our email. Where these providers handle health-related information on our behalf, we require a written agreement obliging them to protect it.
- Our own staff, limited to those who need it to answer you.
- Where the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
We do not send your information to the U.S. Department of Labor. Submitting a form here registers nothing with any government agency.
How long we keep it
If you ask for the guide and we never hear from you again, we keep your record only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, and then delete it. If you become a client, your records are kept under the separate rules that apply to care records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the details below.
Your choices
- Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
- Text messages: reply STOP.
- Calls: tell us to stop, and we will.
- All contact: use the Do Not Contact Me form.
- See, correct, or delete what we hold: contact us using the details below. We aim to respond within one to two business days.
Choosing not to receive marketing never affects the guide, a call you asked for, or any care you may receive.
Security
We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards intended to protect the information you give us, and we limit access to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send medical records, claim numbers, or Social Security numbers through this website.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
